Merdeka.com - Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) mengeluarkan kembali daftar obat sirop yang dapat digunakan dan diedarkan karena telah memenuhi ketentuan yang ditetapkan. Berdasarkan hasil verifikasi periode 18 - 29 November 2022, terdapat 46 produk sirop obat yang dinyatakan tidak mengandung cemaran Etilen Glikol (EG)/Dietilen Glikol (DEG) melebihi ambang batas.

Dengan demikian, BPOM menyatakan 172 produk sirop obat dari 22 industri farmasi telah memenuhi ketentuan.

"BPOM terus melakukan verifikasi hasil pengujian bahan baku terhadap produk sirop obat lainnya, serta informasi yang diperlukan untuk pemastian mutu, keamanan dan khasiat obat. Verifikasi dilakukan berdasarkan pemenuhan beberapa kriteria, antara lain kualifikasi pemasok, pengujian bahan baku setiap kedatangan dan setiap wadah, serta metode pengujian yang mengikuti standar/Farmakope terkini," tulis BPOM dalam rilis resminya, Kamis (1/12).

Informasi produk sirop obat tercantum pada Lampiran II Penjelasan BPOM RI Nomor HM.01.1.2.11.22.179 Tanggal 17 November 2022 tentang Informasi Kesembilan Perkembangan Hasil Pengawasan dan Penindakan Terkait sirop Obat yang Mengandung Cemaran Etilen Glikol/Dietilen Glikol, dinyatakan tidak berlaku dan diperbarui dengan 172 obat ini.

Pihaknya akan terus memperbarui informasi terkait hasil pengawasan obat sirop dalam Kejadian Tidak Diinginkan Gagal Ginjal Akut Progresif Atipikal (KTD GGAPA).

“Informasi akan disampaikan secara bertahap dengan mengedepankan prinsip kehati-hatian dan didasarkan pada database registrasi produk di BPOM serta verifikasi hasil pengujian bahan baku dan produk sirop obat,” tambah BPOM.
